Brief

RA were asked to explore the brownfield sites opportunity for development in the Conservation Area of Leamington Spa.

Following the successful Prior Approval application for the conversion of an office building into 4 x1 bed units the client requested a full planning application for 5 x2 bed units.

Working closely with heritage consultants a solution was found for a tight urban location within a conservation area, providing 5 contemporary town houses of 130sqm each.

RA were able to enhance the conservation area by providing better quality design for future residents, reducing the impact of the development on the varied streetscape with chamfered windows and gable ends which brought visual interest to the elevations.
