Townhouse Hotel
Situated at the top of the Parade in the centre of Leamington, the Townhouse Hotel is a grade II listed building, formally 3 large elegant townhouses, it was converted in the 19th century to a hotel.
It was sold with planning permission to convert to residential units, with additional new builds units on the car park that linked the existing hotel to the brick built coachhouse. ARA undertook all the detail work, additional design work on the internal layouts and procured the development using a traditional contract form. The scheme produced some interesting structural problems to resolve, and was constructed as the new Part E building regulations came into force. The structure had to be upgraded to perform to the required sound transfer standards without offending the historic structure.
