ARA has worked in the speculative housing market consistently throughout the last 40 years. We have been responsible for sites from a couple of units in village locations to large scale brownfield redevelopments in Leicester, Northampton, Wellingborough, Banbury and others. Our scheme on Bede Street, Leicester with Urban Rhythm Ltd was awarded the prestigious PROCON Leicester regeneration award in 2007. The pressures on land and the advent of PPG 3 (now PPS3) has increased densities and altered the style and location of housing developments, recent economic developments have changed the nature of residential development again.
