Oceanpoint
Situated on the clifftop overlooking Saunton Sands Beach in North Devon, this site was originally occupied by a low yielding hotel. The scheme obtained planning consent for redevelopment to 16 holiday apartments.
ARA was retained to improve the design and take the scheme through to completion. With the carefull selection of materials and some detailing alterations, ARA was able to sharpen up the design and introduce toughened glass balustrades and bifold doors, to maximise the incredible views across the bay from all of the 16 units. Working with the London based developer and local construction teams, ARA maintained a proactive role in the construction throughout. Completed in 2009, the scheme sold off plan in a difficult economic climate.
